Labat Logistics has two operational divisions, namely Bulk Fleet Solutions, which comprises its own fleet of 10 vehicles, and operates through the use of sub-contractors and the establishment of joint venture partnerships, with companies which dedicate their fleets for Labat’s operational use. It provides physical vehicles and trailers to one anchor client, and our Logistics Brokerage Services Division, which works with strategic partners to offer logistics brokering solutions to a broad spectrum of clients both within South Africa and the SADC region.
The business model we employ here has resulted in increased capacity, with the vehicle fleet of more than 100 side-tipper interlinks. Some of Labat Logistics’ key clients and its network of truckers, include Samancor, Glencore, Sasol Chemicals, Mogale Alloys and Traxxys. More recently, our client-base has expanded, and includes BHP Billiton and other blue-chip companies.
